GUD Pub Quiz 2011
The second annual GUD Quiz took place on Friday 21st October - a sold out event for the second year running!
A huge thanks to all of you who attended, it was great to see lots of the same faces returning and a host of new faces, too! You helped us to raise over £2,000 on the night, a truly brilliant achievement; yet again, the support was overwhelming.
There was some brilliant K'Nex modelling which surpassed all of our expectations, lots of drinking and some stonking debates over some of the questions!
The quiz was a great way to mark the end of the GUD Challenge, our year of monthly events, which saw us raise over £20,000 in a year! This was well in excess of the £10,000 target we set ourselves at the previous quiz a year ago.
Congratulations to The Children of the Truth who won for the second year in a row. And to the runners up, We'd Rather Be Playing Cricket.
We also have to say a huge thank you to The Windmill on The Common for letting us host the quiz there again, particularly to Mark Tulloch and Hannah Almond for their support and help.
And, a big thank you to all our raffle and silent auction donors: The Windmill, Chelsea Danny, Emma @ Camden Roundhouse, Amanda of Clear-Wellness, Asda, Butcher, Ben @ Ben's Canteen, MacFarlan's, Hummingbird bakery, Jamie's restuarant, Simon @ booktrust, Fitch Ratings Charity Committee, Thorntons, Starbucks @ Clapham Common, M Moen & Sons butchers and VisionExpress.
We look forward to seeing you all again next year for more quiz frivolity!
Ella, Maithi and Sean
