The GUD Challenge
GUD has held a fundraiser every month for a year to raise money for the latest projects in Kanubeh. We set out to raise £10,000 and, following much hard work over the last year, we have smashed that target and raised over £23,000!
The GUD Challenge kicked off in October 2010 with the GUD Pub Quiz in Clapham and the events ranged from dress-down days and weekly cake sales to the GUD Dinner Party, from two GUD Pub Quizzes to a trek to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro!

October 2010 - The GUD Pub Quiz The GUD Pub Quiz was a resounding success with over 150 people descending on The Windmill on the Common in Clapham for a night of scrumptious food and competitive banter. Unsurprisingly, guessing the 3 unusual ingredients in each brownie pleased all, as did the modeling of the London landmark with some teams producing astonishing results from the most basic of supplies. Congratulations to "The Children of the Truth" who won a luxury champagne hamper. We raised over £,2000 for GUD so thank you everyone for your hard work and support. We look forward to seeing everyone again at the second quiz later in 2011! Thanks to… The Windmill and Mark Tulloch for agreeing to host the event and being fantastically helpful; Maithi Rajeshkumar, co-organsier, Sean Monks, compère extraordinaire; Roe Lane; Annie Couldrey; Holly Cowgill; Kelsey Spencer and Katie Lane. Our fantastic raffle and auction donors: Jon Don; Chelsea Danny; Emma Reynolds; The Windmill, Jamie's Italian, Dance Connection, Clapham Picturehouse and Roger Hooper. |
Upcoming Events
To round off a very successful year of fundraising, GUD will be hosting the second GUD Pub Quiz. If last year's sell-out evening at The Windmill, Clapham Common, is anything to go by, you definitely don't want to miss our quiz on 21 October!
